Virgin Buys Shift Music
Virgin Group announced today that it has acquired Los Angeles-based Shift Digital, a provider of digital music conversion, training, and consulting. Virgin Digital, the digital entertainment divison of Virgin Group Ltd. will fold Shift and its assets into the company to create a new offering to help consumers transition to digital media. Terms were not disclosed. The companies said that Aaron Grosky, founder of Shift Music will become Virgin Digital's Head of Digital Services and Artist & Label Relations. Shift Music provides a service which will transfer your music collection into digital format, and box your CDs for storage. Shift also provides pickup and delivery service within the Los Angeles and Orange County area.
