Virgin Galactic Ties With Rolls Royce On Supersonic Aircraft

Virgin Galactic, the commercial spaceflight operator with operations in Mojave, said on Monday that it has partnered with Rolls-Royce on an effort to build an aircraft for supersonic air travel. Financial details of the deal were not announced. According to Virgin Galactic, it has completed a missio concept review with NASA of a supersonic vehicle design, and is working with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on how it might certify its aircraft for flight. Rolls-Royce is well known for its aircraft engines.
