Waymo Rolling Out In Santa Monica This Week

In the first move for self driving taxi company Waymo in Southern California, Waymo is launching its autonomous, self-driving taxi service in Santa Monica, the company said last week. According to Waymo, it will start making its self driving taxi service, Waymo One, available in Santa Monica on October 11th, through a series of "pop up" events to demonstrate the service. The Southern California expansion also includes rollout in Century City at the end of November, West Hollywood in December, Mid-City in January, Koreatown at the end of January, and downtown Los Angeles in February.
