WebSideStory Acquires Visual Sciences
San Diego-based WebSideStory yesterday announced that it has acquired Visual Sciences, a provider of streaming data analysis and visualization software. WebSideStory said that it would pay approximately $57.3M in cash and stock for the 40-person firm. Visual Sciences provides real-time, data visualization for the web analytics business. WebSideStory said that it expects the transaction to expand its addressable market and create cross-sell opportunities within its existing customers. WebSideStory is a provider of web analytics software, used by companies to analyze their web site traffic.
