Xamlon Rolls Out .NET Development Option
La Jolla-based Xamlon this morning announced that it is rolling out Xamlon Web, a new software component that allows Microsoft .NET developers to roll out their software to the web without .NET runtime libraries. The new tool integrates into Microsoft's Visual STudio.NET 2003 development tool and supports C# and Visual Basic.NET languages. Xamlon's tool converts .NET based applications into Macromedia Flash (SWF) files, which can be run on the popular Flash plug-ins for web browsers. Xamlon said that the final version of the software will also support DHTML and AJAX. The new Xamlon Web product is available as a beta on the company's web site.
