XCast Labs Adds Videomail Support For Blackberry
Los Angeles-based XCast Labs, a developer of voice-over-IP technology and services, announced today that the firm has rolled out its IP video mail services to BlackBerry deviecs. XCast, which is venture backed by Siemer and Associates, Frontera Capital and the Pasadena Angels, said the addition of its video mail service allows users of Blackberry Curve, Pearl, or Storm devices to receive video messages by automatically providing the correct video messaging format depending on device model and firmware of Blackberry. The service is part of the company's software-as-a-service, IP-PBX and related offerings. XCast Labs provides its services to cable and telecom providers, and leverages low cost, PC hardware and its own proprietary software for its VoIP services.
