XM Radio, Napster Launch Beta
Los Angeles-based Napster and XM Satellite Radio today announced that the two companies have launched a beta version of an integrated music service combining offerings from the two companies. The new XM+Napster music service provides an online service that allows XM subscribers to download and purchase music heard on XM. The linked service allows subscribers to listen to XM music channels and associated content from Napster's popular music download service. The companies said that XM + Napster will be the exclusive music download service for XM, and that the two companies will co-brand and market the service to its users.
