Yahoo Targets Hispanic Market
Yahoo is targeting the Hispanic market, with a new deal announced today with Telemundo and NBC Universal Television Group. Yahoo said that the three companies will combine their U.S. Hispanic Internet properties to create Yahoo! Telemundo. The site will be a combination of Yahoo's existing Spanish language site and Telemundo's online offering. The two firms will merge their staff and share advertising revenue in the site. The companies said the site will include user experiences around Telemundo's on-air programming, and will include content focused on first, second, and third generation U.S. Hispanics through Spanish, bilingual, and English-language content.
