Yardi Systems Expands In Texas
Santa Barbara-based Yardi Systems, which develops property and real estate management software, is expanding its operations, in Dallas, according to a report Monday. Yardi has leased 45,000 square feet of space in Irving, Texas, with space for up to 300 employees, according to a report from the Dallas Morning News. Irving is a suburb of Dallas near the DFW airport. Yardi appears to be in an expansion phase, having acquired at least six competing or complimentary software companies in its industry in the last year. Although it is a sore spot for California business proponents, Texas appears to be a popular location for Southern California companies expanding their operations; this year, such companies as videogame accessories maker Razer, commercial rocket firm SpaceX, and Fonality have expanded their efforts in the state; last year, LegalZoom also located about 600 new jobs in Texas.
