Ziff Davis Acquires TechBargains.com
Ziff Davis, the publishing arm of Los Angeles-based Internet services firm j2 Global, said Tuesday that it has acquired deal aggregation site TechBargains.com, from Exponential Interactive. Financial terms of the acquisition were not anounced. According to Ziff Davis, the financial impact to j2 Global was not expected to be material to the company. TechBargains offers up service to help consumers find deals on electronic products. The new acquisition further builds out the expansive publishing empire at Ziff Davis, which runs such sites as IGN.com, PCMag.com, AskMen.com, ComputerShopper.com, and many other digital media and publishing sites. j2 Global already owns a vast number of businesses and properties, including a number of Internet fax, phone, hosted email email marketing, online backup, and related services--eFax, eVoice, FuseMail, Onebox, and more--plus scores of online properties via its Ziff Davis digital media division.
