Zumbox Signs Newspaper Publisher
Westlake Village-based Zumbox, a startup looking to help companies distribute their content digitially using postal addresses, said today that it has inked a distribution partnership with local newspaper publisher 22nd Century Media. According to Zumbox, it will deliver digital editions of 22nd Century Media's local newspapers. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. According to Zumbox, it will deliver digital editions of papers, to every street address that 22nd Century Media's papers are delivered to now, allowing subscribers to see digital replicas of the newspaper including content, advertisements, and reading experience. The deal initially covers 22nd Century Media's paper the New Lenox Patriot, which covers a suburb of Chicago. In a statement, 22nd Century Media said the move would help it migrate its readers to a digital format, and reduce printing and postage costs as its readers migrate to Zumbox.
