Pasadena-based Cyrano Sciences (www.cyranosciences.com) has been acquired by Smiths Detection for $15M plus earn-out. Cyrano's develops sensors for detecting chemical vapors, used by government, military, and industrial customers. The company has been renamed Smiths Detection - Pasadena, where it employs 23. Cyrano raised $23M from Rustic Canyon, Ridgestone Corp, and Oak Investment Partners in 2001.
