Green Dot Names Former Visa Exec As New Board Director

Pasadena-based Green Dot has named a former Visa executive to its board of directors, the company said late last week. Green Dot said that Ellen Richey, the former vice chairman and chief risk officer for Visa, was appointed, effective April 3rd. Richey also will serve on its Risk Committee. Green Dot said that Richey has more than 40 years of legal and risk management experience, and had most recently been Visa's Vice Chairman of Risk and Public Policy; she also had been chief legal officer, chief risk officer, and a member of Visa’s executive committee. Green Dot offers up online banking, and also is well known for its debit card products, including Green Dot, GoBank, MoneyPak, AccountNow, RushCard and RapidPay.
