San Diego-based Peregrine Semiconductor has sued two of its competitors, RF Micro Devices and Motorola Mobility, claiming patent infringement, the firm said this morning. According to Peregrine, it has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and a lawsuit in U.S. District Court over the patents, which it says covers silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology for RF ICs. Peregrine is seeking an exclusion order on the importantion and sale of infringing products, plus damages.
