San Diego-based Qualcomm and semiconductor consortium SEMATECH said today that the two are in a collaboration, focused on CMOS scaling and technology. According to the two, Qualcomm will participate in helping SEMATECH's efforts to assess the feasibility of technologies designed to extend Moore's Law. Qualcomm is the first, fabless chip manufacturer to join the group. SEMATECH is an consortium of semiconductor manufacturers working on strategic R&D for the industry.
