Quorum Unveils GSM Plus WiFi Radio Transceiver

San Diego-based Quorum Systems announced that it has entered the fabless semiconductor market with the introduction of a fully integrated, multi-mode, GSM plus WiFI Radio Frequency Transceiver. The single chip solution supports both wireless area local area network (WLAN) and Quad Band GSM cell applications. The company's chip is designed to allow for seamless user access across WiFi and cellular services. Quorum is backed by Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers and Enterprise Partners Venture Capital.
