Zirx Aims At LA's Parking Problem, After Funding From BMW
Are you one of the companies in Los Angeles that just doesn't have enough parking for your employees? One of the on-demand, parking services that serves Los Angeles---Zirx, said this morning that it is specifically looking to solve those issues for companies, with the launch of a new service. The Bay Area startup--which has been in Los Angeles since last November--said its new ZIRX Enterprise service is offered up to companies, to help its employees with parking. In fact, at least two of ZIRX's initial customers for the on-demand parking--Live Nation and Insomiac--are in the LA area. The announcement of the new service came in conjunction with a strategic investment from BMW, from BMW i Ventures. Parking for employees at Los Angeles area companies is at a premium, particularly in areas like Venice, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica--all neighborhoods where the density of technology companies have far exceeded the allotted parking of properties, many of which were built for much lower density corporate, creative, and entertainment businesses.
