60Frames Debuts Online Series
Los Angeles-based 60Frames Entertainment, the online digital media firm founded by the United Talent Agency's Brett Weinstein, launched its online programming lineup Wednesday, and announced a number of distribution partners. The firm said that it has debuted seven new original, online series, including one produced by the creators of "Prom Queen." 60Frames said that it will distribute its content through Blip.tv, Break.com Dailymotion, Heavy.com, iTunes, MySpace, Veoh Networks, Vuze, and YouTube, in addition to its own site. The new online-only series include "Cockpit," by the creaters of "Prom Queen," and a series called Erik The Librarian written by Brent Forrester of "The Office." 60Frames is venture backed by the Tudor Investment Group and The Pilot Group, and raised a $3.5M round of funding last year. 60Frames says that it has more than a dozen original projects in development and production, with plans to finance an additional 50 series over the next 12 months.
