60Frames Raises $3.5M For Online Content
Los Angeles-based 60Frames Entertainment said today that it has raised $3.5M in funding to start a new company focused on financing, ad sales, and syndication of profesionally producted online content. Funding came from Tudor Investment Corporation and the Pilot Group. The firm, which said it was incubated by the United Talent Agency (UTA) and Internet advertising firm Spot Runner, will create original programming for social network web sites, video portals, and other outlets. Filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen will create content for the company, which will be headed by Brent Weinstein, who was formerly at the United Talent Agency heading its Digital Media Department.
