BridgeCo Adds Online Music Support
Los Angeles-based BridgeCo, a semiconductor manufacturer developing chips for the home entertainment market, said Wednesday that the company's platform now provides the ability to play audio from all of the major online music providers, including Yahoo, Rhapsody, Napster, LaunchCast, MusicChoice, and iTunes. BridgeCo said that its product now supports the transport of audio files, including DRM-protected formats like WMA and AAC, across its systems. BridgeCo is a venture-backed startup that develops software and processors targeted at connecting consumer electronics and audio systems.
