Citrix Upgrades Remote Assistance Product
Santa Barbara-based Citrix Online has launched a major upgrade to the firm's remote assistance product, Citrix GoToAssist, saying this week that it has added new team collaboration features, system administrator access capabilities, live monitoring of sessions, and other features to the package. The Citrix software is used by companies to provide remote technical support and direct login into remote computers for helping out users. The new version, Citrix GoToAssist 8.0, includes the ability for support representatives to log in with system administrator access to a computer, to allow for diagnosing and fixing computer issues; the new system also supports Microsoft Vista, and provides faster performance.
