CyberDefender Sees Boost From Anti-Malware Products
Los Angeles-based CyberDefender, a developer of PC security, antispyware, and antivirus software, reported today that the firm saw a boost in sales in Q4, boosted by its anti-malware products. The firm said it saw unaudited cash receipts grow to $9.8M for the fourth quarter, or 128% over fourth quarter of 2008, when it saw $4.3M in cash received. The amount was also up over the $6.7M in cash received by the firm for Q3. The company said it will book those sales over the 12 to 36 month terms of license or subscription, but the firm did not break out GAAP results for the quarter. CyberDefender said it saw strong growth from new customers in the area of anti-malware products, as well as tech support services. The firm is traded OTCBB, and is backed by Guthy-Renker.
