Elysian Park Ventures Leads $12M Investment In GAMURS

Elysian Park Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Los Angeles Dodgers, is the lead investor in a $12M ($17.8M AUD) investment in Sydney, Australia-based GAMURS, the two said this week. Other investors in the Series A funding round were Cerro Capital, which co-led the round, along with Powerhouse Capital, Aura Ventures, and Artesian. GAMURS said it will use the funding for strategic acquisitions and for expansion into adjaent markets. The company--foudned in 2014--says it has 55 million active monthly users across its portfolio of 16 major digital publications covering esports, gaming, and entertainment.
