Flyby Raises $4M In Funding For Delivery Drones

Los Angeles- and Phoenix-based Flyby Robotics announced on Wednesday that it has raised $4M in a pre-seed, investment funding round for its machine-learning powered, delivery drone technology. The funding was led by MaC Venture Capital and also included Weekend Fund, Anthemis, and Evening Fund. Other strategic investors include Naval Ravikant, (Co-Founder of AngelList); Balaji Srinivasan, (Finance and former CTO of Coinbase); Karen Pritzker’s VC fund, Gaingels, Ryan Hoover (Founder at Product Hunt); and Cliff Sirlin (Managing Director at LaunchCapital). The company said its founders are out of Yale, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Anduril. The company says it is focused on the "labor-saving potential of UAV technology" which it says is "faster and more affordable than car based courier systems". The company's Founder and CEO is Jason Lu.
