Tinder Opens Up On Sexual Orientation
Los Angeles-based dating application developer Tinder is making it easier for its users to express their sexual orientation on the service, saying on Tuesday that it has added a new "Orientation" option on its profiles. Tinder said the new feature will let users "select up to three terms" to describe their sexual orientation. Carbon Lighthouse Collects $32.6M For Energy Efficiency Efforts
Carbon Lighthouse, a provider of energy efficiency services and developer of energy efficiency technology which recently opened up a Los Angeles office, has raised $32.6M in a funding, the company said on Tuesday. According to Carbon Lighthouse, $20M of that funding came from Cox Enterprises. Bird Launches New Electric Bike, The Bird Cruiser
It's a bird, it's a plane... no, it's an electric bike. Santa Monica-based Bird said on Tuesday that it is introducing a new product, the Bird Cruiser, an electric bicycle with a "cushioned seat for two". According to Bird, the new electric vehicle has 20-inch wheels and a full suspension, and will join the company's fleet of shared vehicles this summer. Inhibrx Files For IPO
La Jolla-based biopharmaceuticals startup Inhibrx has just filed for an IPO, saying in an S-1 filing that it is looking to raise up to $74.75M in an IPO on the Nasdaq Global Market. Inhibrx has applied to trade as INBX. The IPO is being underwritten by Evercore ISI, Barclays, Nomura, and Raymond James. Inhibrx is backed by LAV Biosciences Fund and Viking Global Investors. Moleaer Finds $5M For Wastewater Treatment, Industrial Nanobubble Technology

FTD Files Chapter 11: Long, Complex Path Through SoCal's Tech Industry
In long, complicated path that wound through Southern California's high tech industry, flower delivery network operator FTD has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Los Angeles-based private equity investor Angeles Equity Partners announced this morning that it has acquired printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer APCT, Inc..
