Nimble Plans Paid Accounts
Santa Monica-based Nimble, the developer of customer relationship management and contacts management software headed by Goldmine Software founder Jon Ferrara, looks to be shifting its sights to paid, business accounts. In a message to users Monday morning, Ferrara said that the service--which has been free during its beta testing phase--is planning to charge $15 per user per month for business users. Nimble will continue to offer a free, single-user version of the service. Nimble is developing and online service to help users manage their contacts and relationships, tracking interaction with clients and others much as ACT and Goldmine did on the desktop, with added enhancements to handle the world of social networking and online interaction. Nimble said it plans on releasing the new version in January of next year. The company reports it has signed up more than 15,000 users in the last nine months on the service. The firm's biggest competition is Salesforce.com.
