NRG Solar Starts Operation On Two Solar Plants
Carlsbad-based solar project developer NRG Solar, which is a subsidiary of NRG Energy, has opened up two new, solar energy plants in California. According to NRG, the two solar photovoltaic plants have a combined capacity of 40 megawatts, and are located in Lancaster and Kings County. NRG acquired both projects from Recurrent Energy earlier this year. NRG said the plans are supplying electricity to both Southern California Edison (SCE) and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). NRG said it now has eleven large-scale photovoltaic solar facilities it owns.
