QLess Raises $3.5M To Reduce Waiting In Line
Pasadena-based QLess, which is developing mobile apps to help reduce the lines in government offices and other locations, has raised $3.5M in a funding round, according to the company. The funding came from True Growth Capital and Wellington Financial LP. QLess develops apps for the iPhone and Android, which is aimed at reducing lines in the retail, higher education, healthcare, government, and logistics areas. The company said it has named Michael Bell, the President and COO of Bridg, to its board as part of the funding. Bell has served at Infrascale, SOS Online Backup, 3PL Central, Software.com, and Encore Software. QLess is led by Alex Backer, and offers up apps for both iPhone and Android; the company says its clients include Vodafone, Renown Medical Group, the University of Texas, and government offices in 35 states.
