Qualcomm Rolls Out Depth Sensing Camera Technology
San Diego-based Qualcomm said on Tuesday that it has rolled out new, depth sensing camera technology, which it is specifically aiming at use in Android devices. According to Qualcomm, its Qualcomm Spectra Module Program is specifically aimed at use in photo and video for a broad range of mobile devices and head mounted displays (HMD). The new technology is aimed at the computer vision area, with support for such features as motion tracking, biometric authentication, and signal processing. Qualcomm said the modules will be part of its next Snapdragon obile Platform.
