Qualcomm Wins $12.4M In Lawsuit
San Diego-based Qualcomm reported today that it has received $12.4M in attorney's fees, from Gabriel Technologies, which had sued Qualcomm over patent infringement claims. Qualcomm said the United States District Judge ordered the payment for pursuing objectively baseless claims against Qualcomm in bad faith. Gabriel had sued Qualcomm in October of 2008 over patents. Qualcomm said it was represented by Cooley LLP in the lawsuit, Gabriel Technologies Incorporated and Trace Technologies v. Qualcomm Incorporated, Snaptrack Inc., and Norman Krasner.
