Relativity Space Launches First Rocket, But Fails To Reach Orbit
Long Beach-based Relativity Space, a startup developing 3D-printed rockets, successfully launched its first rocket, but failed to reach orbit in its launch last night. Relativity Space launched its rocket from Florida, at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, taking the rocket to Max-Q, the highest stress point in its launch. Howeer, immediately after the second stage separation, the company's 3D-printed rocket appeared to fail to fire. Relativity Space said it will assess its flight data and provide public updates "over the coming days."
