Slacker Links With Automotive Music Service
San Diego-based Slacker, the personalized Internet radio service, has inked a deal with an automotive audio device from electronics firm HARMAN, the two firms announced Thursday. The two said that Aha by HARMAN and Slacker are in a partnership, which will bring Slacker's personal radio and on-demand music services into cars. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed, however, the two said that Aha listeners will get access to Slacker's songs on demand and radio stations starting this fall. HARMAN said its Aha service is currently available for free on the iPhone, and is being integrated with products from automotive and consumer electronics manufacturers.
