Hawthorne, California-based rocket launch provider SpaceX has successfully launched a new satellite into space for SiriusXM. The company launched the SiriusXM SXM-7 satellite into space this weekend, in a launch from Florida. Maxar Technologies--which built the satellite for SiriusXM, before delivery to SpaceX for launch--said the satellite is performing properly. The new satellite adds coverage area in North America. The satellite will be placed in geostationary orbit above North America.
