SpaceX Test Fires Falcon Heavy
Hawthorne-based SpaceX test fired the Falcon Heavy in Florida on Wednesday, in another step forward towards an actual flight of its new design. SpaceX posted a video of the static fire test, which lasted 22 seconds. The yet-to-launch Falcon Heavy uses 27 Merlin engines, and if successful will be the largest rocket since the Jupiter V was used in the U.S. moon missions in the 1960's.
