SpectraSensors Raises $6M
San Dimas-based SpectraSensors announced yesterday that it has raised a Series B round of funding worth $6M. The company, a spinoff of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), is developing optical sensors for industrial and environmental gas sensing applications. The funding came from American River Ventures and Nth Power, as well as existing investor Blueprint Ventures. The company also said that John Kunhart of American River and Nancy Floyd of Nth Power will join the company's board. SpectraSensors currently has a line of industrial moisture analyzers for the natural gas pipeline industry. More information »
