ViaSat Launches New Satellite
Carlsbad-based ViaSat has successfully launched another satellite into space, saying that it launched its ViaSat-3 Americas satellite into space aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy on Sunday. The company says it will take around three weeks for the satellite to reach its final orbital destination. The new satellite will provide over 1 Terabit per second capacity on the KA-band, The new satellite will provide more bandwidth, speeds, and coverage to ViaSat's US customers; the company said it working on two additional of the same class of ViaSat-3 satellite, one for the EMEA and one for the Asia Pacific region.
