WD MyCloud Still Down, A Week Later

MyCloud, the online storage service run by Western Digital, is still down, more than a week after a hacking incident compromised the consumer online storage and backup service. It's unclear when--or if--the storage service will return. Western Digital--which has major operations in Irvine--was compromised last weekend, preventing its users not only from accessing storage stored on the cloud, but it also has prevented many users from accessing their local disk drives, because they are unable to log into the WD MyCloud service to access even data on their local systems.
