Kurion Names New Chairman
Irvine-based Kurion, the venture-backed developer of nuclear waste management technology, said today that it has named Stephen (Steve) Piccolo as its new Executive Chairman. According to the firm, Piccolo was most recently EVP for the URS Global Management & Operations Service Group, and spent three decades in the nuclear waste industry managing projects at Hanford, Wash., and Savannah River waste sites and Yucca Mountain. Current Executive Chair Ralph DiSibio remains a director of the company. Kurion is venture backed by Lux Capital Management and Firelake Capital Management.
