Monday, June 10, 2024Virgin Galactic Launches 12th Mission, But Hits PauseOrange County-based Virgin Galactic launched its 12th mission on Saturday, sending one researcher and three space tourists to space. The launch comes as the company is pausing its launches for a couple of years to work on a next generation space vehicle, to replace the current spacecraft, the VSS Unity. The effort appears to be due to a need for a spacecraft which is more easily reusable, plus greater passenger capability.

Alltius Gets Win In IndiaIrvine-based Alltius, which develops generative AI software, said it has signed on a customer in India. According to the company, it has signed on a "leading retail full-service broking house" as a customer. Financial details of the win were not announced. Alltius claims its customer in India is reducing its support costs by $120,000 per month, with a "over 45% ticket deflection" within a month of implementation.
