Psudo Gets $3M For Eco-Friendly Sneakers
Los Angeles-based Psudo, a new startup developing "eco-friendly" sneakers, said this morning that it has raised $3M in a seed funding round. The funding was managed by SternAegis Ventures. The company said it is developing "ethical, small-back, on-demand" sneakers. Psudo was founded by Michael and Kortney Rich, a husband-and-wife team. Psudo says its sneakers are made from recycled water bottles and include custom 3D printed designs and patterns, with each sneaker keeping 7.2 single-use platic bottles from landfills and oceans. The company said it will use the funding to invest in its product pipeline and distribution channels.
